The start of a new relationship between the KCMS and the Royal College of Music: we will showcase one of their finest ensembles each season. The Brompton Quartet is one to watch: the recent winner of both the 2019 St. Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Music Competition and the 2019 Boconnoc Award and residency. The quartet’s programme brings together an intriguing mix of old and new, including Schubert’s enduringly popular ‘Death and the Maiden’ quartet.

Please note that this programme has changed, with Haydn substituted for Britten, owing to circumstances beyond the control of KCMS and the Brompton String Quartet. Veronica Marziano is now on second violin for this concert.
