We start our season with a concert with a difference: in an innovative blend of words and music, this concert considers the life and works of Lord Leighton. His love of Italian art, his fascination with ancient mythology, and his close association with leading musicians of his day are explored through works by Liszt, Szymanowski, Ysaÿe and J.S. Bach. The concert will be introduced by music researcher and presenter Katy Hamilton and Daniel Robbins, senior curator of Leighton House.
