Lumas Winds is a London-based ensemble committed to promoting the rich variety of wind chamber music repertoire, and have been described as ‘one to watch’ (BBC Radio 3, Record Review). Winners of the 71st Royal Over-Seas League Mixed Ensemble Prize, the group are currently Munster Recital Scheme Artists and Kirckman Concerts Society Young Artists. Alongside performing the classics of the repertoire, Lumas explore works that deserve greater recognition, highlighted in the six hidden gems on their debut album, The Naming of Birds. Their recital for KCMS includes together some of that music as part of a glorious and eclectic programme to conclude our 2025-26 season.
