This recital celebrates the enduring spirit of Beethoven through four remarkable stages of his piano writing. From the mysterious intimacy of the Moonlight Sonata and the heroic energy of the Eroica Variations to the distilled poetry of the Six Bagatelles and the profound vision of Op. 111, the programme traces Beethoven’s extraordinary journey from the Classical tradition towards a new and deeply personal musical language.

Presented in commemoration of the bicentenary of Beethoven’s death, the recital reflects not only the diversity of his genius, but the enduring power, humanity and universality of his music.

Simone Alessandro Tavoni is an acclaimed Italian pianist who has performed internationally at prestigious venues including Wigmore Hall, Royal Festival Hall, and Palau de la Música Catalana. A Parklane Group Artist and Keyboard Charitable Trust Artist, he received a full scholarship to the Aspen Music Festival, studying with Fabio Bidini. He holds degrees from the Royal College of Music, Trinity Laban Conservatoire, Liszt Academy, and Hochschule für Musik Stuttgart. Simone was selected for the BBC Pathway Scheme and is supported by HSH Dr. Donatus Prince of Hohenzollern.
